Collectible Bijoux & Collectible Jewelry
Annarita Vitali works period materials according to forms and styles of the past to evoke, through jewelry, the fashions and trends that have characterized the history of the twentieth century. It is a world of sensations, love, imagination and colors that has been carried inside since childhood and expressed in the bijoux of its creation.
Annarita Vitalis creations, handmade with vintage materials, seem to follow the history of jewelry in the twentieth century.
The ecological choice of making jewelry and accessories with the sole use of recycled material safeguarding the environment,
with collections that trace the history of bijoux, they position it high in the ranking of brands with low environmental impact. All its artifacts are made with original period materials, recovered from the ancient warehouse "Furlanetto", which Annarita Vitali bought in 1998 saving, from certain destruction, the enormous amount of material crammed into the warehouses of the company, thus becoming the custodian of a real mine of vintage material, which today revives in creations of rare and delicate beauty.
This is the story of my activity of recovering an old warehouse from which I got the vintage materials for my creations!
"In Bologna there are people who have in their DNA the conservation and recovery;
Annarita Vitali, graduated in Urban Planning with the Arch.tto Cervellati, always active for the recovery of historical centers,
he pursued, working on his own, after a collaboration with the Artistic Exhibition Agency and the Gallery of Modern Art, of recovery, aimed at the jewel and its creation.
Everything comes from the purchase of the old "Furlanetto" warehouse.
Founded in 1925, detected with all the ancient materials, and revived with the artistic creations of Annarita Vitali in 1998.
The company, founded by Romeo Furlanetto in 1925, produced fashion accessories, sold internationally, and collaborated with leading stylists, including Valentino, Chanel and Balenciaga of which he was the distributor for Italy ... just to name a few.
At the early death of Romeo Furlanetto, his wife Maria, a Calestani of Casalmaggiore, took over.
Here it had its headquarters, the oldest and most important production of jewels, called mad gold, as not entirely valuable, starting from the second half of the 19th century.
It was in fact here that the gold-plated plate was invented, a gold-plated plate, which had enormous success all over the world.
The industries that produced accessories, but not only, joined together, continuing the activity until the 70s.
Everything would have been lost if in 1998 the bijoux museum had not been created, which tells with more than thirty thousand pieces the story of the evolution of the bijoux, which follows very quickly
the evolution of the historical period and its trends.
Just in 1998, at the close of the Furlanetto company in Bologna, Annarita Vitali, after two years of cataloging the materials, began to produce unique pieces with vintage materials, precisely those purchased from the aforementioned company.
In an early 1900s villa, unique thematic pieces are created, all rigorously made with vintage materials.
These are thematic jewels, because they are recurring themes, not just in the world of jewelry but present in many types of art, architecture, iconography, poetry, literature, etc.
An interesting anthropological and social analysis reveals the reasons for the tendencies ... for example the shells, the first ornament of the man, which cyclically, but could be said seasonally emerge, heraldry, the naturalistic themes, etc. "
